Sonoran Sunset, aka Sonoran Sunrise is a Chrysocolla Cuprite stone. Coming from the Milpillas Mine, in the small mining town of Cananea, Sonora, Mexico. Sonoran Sunset is made up of Chrysocolla (green), Cuprite (red), and and Iron Oxide called Tenerife (black). Additionally Chalcotrichite the Orange variety of Cuprite may also be found in some pieces.
