Why Cast Iron & Salt?

Cast iron is excellent at absorbing and retaining heat, which makes it ideal for charcoal, resin, and loose incense. Because it holds heat so efficiently, however, the bottom of the burner can become very hot.

The included salt serves as an insulating layer beneath the charcoal. It helps distribute and retain heat while creating separation between the burning charcoal and the bottom of the cast iron, reducing the amount of concentrated heat transferred to the surface beneath the burner.

Always place the burner on a heat-resistant surface and never leave burning charcoal unattended.

How to Use

Add a layer of salt to the bottom of the burner. Using the tongs, light a charcoal tablet and place it on top of the salt. Allow the charcoal to fully ignite and develop a light ash coating, then add a small pinch of powder incense or a few pieces of resin.

A little incense goes a long way, so start with a small amount and add more as desired.
